Focus is looking to expand our team by adding an Assistant Account Executive. The Assistant Account Executive will be responsible for supporting the Account Executive / Tier 1 Support team in various support related tasks. The ideal candidate should enjoy working with software and technology with an interest in customer support, whose long-term goal would be to move into an Account Executive position. As the Assistant Account Executive, you will be expected to work independently, as well as alongside the Director of Support, and must be able to work well under pressure to handle a variety of tasks and confidential matters with discretion. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate solid character, integrity, and share our small business ethics
  • Expect a fast-paced environment with on-the-job training and an independent learning plan 
  • At least two years of professional experience in a technology-related, customer support or Educational setting 
  • Strong organization skills that reflect an ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Learn Focus’ product, processes, and assist in supporting Focus product and support team as needed 
  • Communicate directly with and prepare weekly reports for the Director of Support
  • Assist in the management of Zendesk tickets for assigned districts and work with Tier 2 as needed to resolve issues
  • Take notes on weekly and/or bi-weekly status calls with District
  • As needed onsite visits
  • Assist Director in reviewing and completing change requests, as well as user acceptance testing, and depleting backlog of open/pending tickets for assigned district
  • Maintain client calendar to include key dates such as school start date, end date, progress reports, report cards, state reporting windows, holidays etc.
  • Encourage assigned Districts to stay up-to-date with Focus releases, coordinate updates, provide training on new version releases as needed
  • Assist in maintaining Focus CRM for assigned Districts (student count, latest version, onsite visit notes, key contacts etc.)

Job Requirements:

  • Assist on weekly calls and onsite meetings as necessary with district
  • Assist in the coordination of training, development and support with district post-implementation
  • Flexibility concerning after-hours communication with Executives and availability to travel on short notice is a must
